5 things you can do for your skin this summer!

Hey hey beauties and gents,

hope your all having a great week! Happy hump day.

So today i wanted to start my blog by talking about 5 things you can do for your skin this summer!

We all have those moments and days where we want our skin to be better or want to change how it may be feeling. Most of the time this is because our skin changes with the seasons.

So in winter you might find your skin will feel more dry or summer more oily, this is a whole other conversation that i will blog about later but for now lets talk about the 5 things you can do for your skin this summer?

  1. Use SPF everyday (and i mean everyday), this is so important for everyone, whether you are an indoor or outdoor worker or person. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF of 15 (however 30 or 50 is always highly recommended). If you can, re apply every few hours but if you are not able to do this always make sure you have your SPF on before leaving your house.

  2. Try to stay out of the sun for long periods of time. Wear a hat and sunglasses to protect you face as your face is quiet a sensitive part of the bodies skin. this will also help to prevent serious skin conditions such as melanoma.

  3. Avoid the midday sun! this a big one.. The suns rays are at its most intense between 10am and 2pm which means you are more likely to burn at these times. Try to avoid getting burnt all together because the more you burn, the quicker you age!

  4. Make water your best friend. a minimum of 8 glasses a day. There are a lot of reasons why but to name a few we can feel light headed and possibly faint, our skin can become very dry, our heart rate can rapidly increase, we can lack energy, we lose focus and concentration.

  5. Eat lots of fruit and veg that have iron, protein and carbs, obviously we don't want an excessive amount of these things but they are super important to our health and skin. The more goodness you eat the more energy you will have in conjunction with water! Remember - we are what we eat!
